Rusty Bearden is the owner and lead inspector of A-1 Inspections. A graduate of Hardin-Simmons University, Rusty earned his Master Inspector license in 2013 and began his career working alongside founder Joseph McCulley that same year. Over more than a decade, Rusty and Joe built a strong professional partnership grounded in shared values, personal integrity, and a commitment to putting clients first.
Rusty’s understanding of homes began long before his inspection career. Growing up, he worked alongside his father building houses, giving him a hands-on background in construction that continues to shape his practical approach today. Combined with years of inspection experience, Rusty brings a keen attention to detail and a straightforward, no-nonsense perspective to every job.
He is dedicated to delivering clear, thorough, and accurate reports that empower clients to make confident, informed decisions about their homes. As the sole owner, Rusty continues to uphold and strengthen the trusted reputation A-1 Inspections has built over the years.
Since marrying his wife, Kayla, in 2004, Rusty has prioritized faith, family, and honesty in all aspects of his life. He remains committed to providing dependable service, transparent communication, and inspections clients can rely on with confidence.

Jared Baier is a Home Inspector with A-1 Inspections. A graduate of Pittsburg State University in 2012 he then served in the United States Army until having to be medically discharged in 2014. He earned his Home Inspector license in 2019 and has built his career around providing honest, thorough, and straightforward inspections for homebuyers and homeowners throughout the Oklahoma City metro area. His background combines hands-on construction experience, customer service, and military discipline, giving clients confidence that every inspection is performed with professionalism and attention to detail.
Long before becoming an inspector, Jared Baier developed a strong understanding of homes and construction through hands-on work in the construction industry during the summer in high school while he also managed an Ace Hardware store. It was here that he learned the value of hard work.
Today, he brings that same dedication to every inspection, providing clients with clear, detailed reports and straightforward explanations to help them make informed decisions about their homes. He believes in honest communication, dependable service, and treating every client as if he was inspecting the house for his own family.
Since marrying his wife, Kayla, in 2022, Jared Baier has continued to prioritize being a family man and selfless service in both his personal and professional life. Together they are raising their two children, Hadley and Thomas, and are proud to call Oklahoma home.

Joseph McCulley founded A‑1 Inspections with a commitment to live by The Golden Rule—treating others as he would want to be treated in all areas of life. For many years, Joe built the business on integrity, hard work, and a dedication to providing detailed, thorough, accurate, and affordable home inspections that meet and exceed both state and national standards.
Under Joe’s leadership, A‑1 Inspections earned a reputation for professionalism and quality. Every inspection focused on hundreds of components within a home and included a clear, photo‑documented report delivered promptly to clients. His approach was always centered on doing the job right and serving clients the same way he would want to be served.
In 2024, Joe retired and entrusted the business to continue under the same principles and standards he established. While no longer involved in day‑to‑day operations, his values and commitment to excellence remain the foundation of A‑1 Inspections.
Joe gives all the credit to God for His blessings on the business and believes its continued growth is the result of those principles, faith, and many years of dedicated work.
